Summary: This poem is a whimsical, playful study of “two poets hitchhiking on a spiritual highway’ through a peaceful, pristine wood. The poem musically and rythmically relates the sense of wonder and the healing feelings that naturally result from experiences of witnessing and communining with unspoiled nature.

While Richard Dyer-Bennet, Louis Simpson, and Tuli Kupferberg were important literary and performance mentors for this author; this particular piece has a lineage with roots in – The Trickster Series / The Outrider Ledger (Eco-Witness Series), and includes influences from H.D. Thoreau, Barry Lopez, Gary Snyder, Eckert Tolle, David Whyte, Gregory Corso, John O’Donahue, Hunter S. Thompson.
